I'm a methodical writer. I design tools for building and editing stories, and I write about how those tools work. Some writers have suggested that I'm better suited to being an editor than a writer, and they may be onto something. I have derived more satisfaction from a well-done critique and edit of somebody else's work than from polishing up my own.
I'm part of a critique and performance group called Cult Fiction. We gather every week at the Lucky Number Grill in Chicago, and we have a show every few months.
